MegaFon: Demand for electronics jumps 50–70% on Feb, Mar holidays

MOSCOW, Mar 6 (PRIME) -- Demand for electronics ahead of gender holidays in Russia, the Defender of the Fatherland Day on February 23 and the International Women’s Day on March 8, grows by 50–70% on average, MegaFon Retail, a sales branch of mobile operator MegaFon, which also runs a large retail chain, said on Friday in a statement.

Women more often receive smartphones, fitness trackers, and accessories for phones, and men get smartphones, smartwatches, dashboard cameras, and headphones.

The most popular devices for the International Women’s Day are Apple iPhone XR, Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, Xiaomi Redmi 7A, Apple Airpods, and smart bracelet Honor Band 5.

On February 23, men mostly received Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, Xiaomi Redmi 8, Samsung Galaxy A30s.
